First film of hooptober!
I was pleasantly surprised by this one.
They didn’t overuse the visuals of the spider which certainly helped. Alyla Browne is a great young actor, and It’s always a pleasure to see Jermaine Fowler do his thing.
I would categorise this film as stupid humour, my favourite, but still done surprisingly well.
Maintains good continuity with the time skip.
The grandmas memory problems help ground parts of the film in reality which is a nice break from the space spider shenanigans.
Has to lose points for killing a kitty.
7/10ish
