Emma Stone is my favourite actress, bar none, and has been since before I even got into film (and yes she’s also been my #1 celebrity crush since we got a real Gwen Stacy story on the big screen but that’s irrelevant). She’s my favourite actress because she brings something special to the screen. Not only physically, between the hair and the voice, but particularly in her delivery. There’s something unique about it that draws you in no matter what role she’s playing or what the line actually is, like I find Alan Rickman or Bill Murray or the Wilson brothers do. Not that I’m complaining, but it can sometimes work to her disadvantage as I find she’s almost always…

Not that I’m complaining, but it can sometimes work to her disadvantage as I find she’s almost always given wayyyyy too many lines. I often sit back saying ‘errrrrrrgh she doesn’t need that line, she can say it with her face!!!’, because she has one of the most expressive faces in Hollywood imo. I think we’re seeing this showcased more and more as her career has shifted. *end of tangent lol* anyways, I don’t get more enjoyment from every single moment of an actor’s on-screen career has hers. Whether she’s in a perfectly-suited comedic role (take your pick), cementing her skills in a drama like Birdman, The Favourite, or La La Land, or popping in for a couple absurd lines in Friends With Benefits, Popstar, or The Interview, I’ve always had a great time watching her act. She makes bad movies better, good movies great, and gives me some of my favourite scenes and/or quotables of all-time. I’m so ridiculously excited for every new project of hers; next of which should be Cruella (which you only need to look at the principal photography to know she is gonna slay tf out of) so letsssss gooooo
Doesn't include narrative features with <10k watches unless I've seen them, or any shorts, docs, or TV/limited series.
Haven't seen yet: none you joker, you think I'm gonna miss an Emma Stone new release in theatres?
