Stephen King's original short story that The Life of Chuck is based on is fantastic in it's own right. It's a profound and human story that attempts to answer what makes someone unique, and what happens when that person moves on. Every character, no matter how small a role, is memorable and the overall story is sweet and sad, and kind of cosy as much as a story about death can be. You take all that and put it in the hands of Mike Flanagan, and magic is bound to happen.
Every second of his adaption is exactly how I imagined every page of the book to look like, complete with an amazing cast and a wonderful music score.
Above all, it really made me miss my Grandpa, and I'm always going to be a sucker for a film that makes you feel. Loved everything about it.
