"In later years Jim always liked to say that he didn't get into puppetry as an end in itself but as a means to working in film and television. But of course working in film and television isn't an end in itself either. I think what Jim really wanted to do was to sing songs and tell stories, teach children, promote peace, save the planet, celebrate man, praise God, and be silly."
