Pensive and whimsical, really the perfect movie for this rainy evening. This is a beautiful tale of angels watching over the humans of Berlin as they ruminate over everything from art and history to their bills and relationships. But it’s mostly about the loneliness that everyone experiences - in particular the citizens of a divided city, in a country still trying to move on from the atrocities of WWII several decades later. We all have our own thoughts, our own worries and sadnesses - but we are all still human and are capable of embracing the colors and connections that come into our lives, if we choose to do so.
