Ghoul Gruel’s review published on Letterboxd:
“It was more difficult than I had imagined. Mother had made everything sound easy. But the chauffeur was incredibly strong. He had to be stabbed five times.”
I knew the name and I associated it with something a bit transgressive. Other than that, I knew nothing, and oh my gawd this shit is sexy. Erotic arthouse noir. A 60’s throwback with a 90’s mentality.
“Don’t hurt me, mommy.”
Only the outline of a plot and it plays like a dream. It’s not really one to follow or work out, just keep a couple of loose story ideas in sight, join the dots (right or wrong), and enjoy the ride.
Ridiculously stylish. I legitimately missed subs coz I was too focused on the visuals. Mother and Daughter are endlessly captivating and their quirks, ticks, and eccentricities (see Mental Illness) make them even more engaging.
Horny ass film.
I fucking love a kiwifruit.
“In the end, he ran screaming with a knife in his belly and splattered blood all over our house. When we buried him, he was still alive.”
