This is a lot. Organized chaos. The incredible movie we were sold in the trailers happens eventually but the first 30-40 minutes of this was something so surprising and electric, that I left the theater still kind of paralyzed by it. This prologue, which focuses on Teyana Taylor's character, is filled with sex, action, betrayal, and kinetic revolutionary energy. Its intoxicating but it's also such a perfect contrast to the 2nd act where the film finds its action/comedy tone, yet…

An absolute breath of fresh air and the most riveting film of the year. It teases you with what looks like an elevated allegory on grief/trauma and then proceeds to go full gonzo. It lures you into its grasp with tiny, little, terrifying mouthfuls, spread out over it's 2+ hour runtime.
