The Land that Time forgot - Gefangen in der Urzeit, The Land That Time Forgot : Gefangen in der Urzeit, Vùng Đất Bị Lãng Quên,
It's funny how this has a more palaeontologically accurate Pteranodon model than any of the Jurassic Park or World films.
The Land That Time Forgot slides naturally into the kind of delirious Asylum chaos I keep finding myself drawn back to, because this was another one of their joints I just had to check out. It’s exactly as ridiculous as you’d expect: cardboard-cutout characters, CG creatures that look like they escaped from a discount render farm, and plotting that happily ignores logic whenever it feels like. Nonetheless, that’s part of the charm with these things. Once you tune yourself to the wavelength, there’s a strange, almost ritualistic fun in watching the mayhem unfold. I know what I’m getting into with these joints, and even when they’re a mess, they still give me that scrappy, low-rent adventure buzz that keeps me coming back. 🥲
Adelaide Film Festival 2025 - #19
It's an Asylum film, what do you expect? The documentary about it beforehand was really good but the film it self was just.. eh 💁♂️
I like a good-bad Asylum film as much as the next guy but honestly outside of the dinosaur scenes it was a bore fest, however I do appreciate that they paired this with a making of doco and played it at a festival. That's super cool and im glad I got to experience that.
Seeing both with an audience was a fantastic experience and I'll be looking out for whatever Anthony does next. (Honestly hope he makes another documentary, Mockbuster was 👌👌👌)
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I had some issues with the writing but otherwise no notes. A non- binary engineer decapitates a velociraptor with a fire axe.
I shot this movie - except for the stuff at The Pentagon - and I think everyone did a really good job.

Passend zum Kinostart von "Jurassic World: Rebirth" folgt nun "The Land that Time forgot".
Hilarious. So shameless. The first 6 mins are exceptionally remarkable filmmaking.
After watching The Land That Time Forgot 2009 and Jurassic Reborn, I finally got around to The Land That Time Forgot 2025. It's arguably the best of the three, though that's faint praise. The main reason is that it features a few more dinosaur species and delivers the most unintentional laughs. Beyond that, there's little to recommend. The visual effects are lackluster, and the plot is unnecessarily convoluted. At this point, can we please get a proper remake of The Land That Time Forgot?
So like nobody really questioned the German guy having an obvious WW1 uniform and stating that he’s from the imperial navy?
I don’t know, maybe I wouldn’t be thinking straight either if I just severed a T Rex’s carotid artery.
