- Not a single one of these films was nominated for Best Picture. This makes sense as the Best Picture nominees are the most prominent of the nominees and anyone going back through Oscar history is likely to begin there.
- Overwhelmingly, the most commonly represented category is Best Documentary Feature. 63 of the following films were Documentary nominees, for a total of 64.3%.
- Only two of the following films were nominated for multiple Oscars, for a total of 2%. Those two are Centennial Summer and When My Baby Smiles at Me.
- Only three of the following films actually won an Oscar, for a total of 3.1%. Those three are Daybreak in Udi, Albert Schweitzer, and The Horse with the Flying Tail.
