Hello everyone and Welcome to Scavenger Hunt #132 for March 2026! Can you believe we're already in March? I sure wish time would slow down! First off, let's give a round of applause for the AMAZING prompts in February created by Télédex-BaBrBo! It was truly an outstanding month and it'll surely be a tough act to follow!
My goal for the Scavenger Hunt this month is to assist YOU in finding films that you fall in love with! At the end of the year, I want you to look back on March and say "I watched a TON of bangers back in March!" I started compiling this list right after I hosted Scavenger Hunt #102 back in September 2023, so a good amount of thought has gone into each prompt! I hope you find them unique and entertaining to complete! So let's get this show on the road!
How to participate:
Create your own list of 31 movies, choosing one movie for each day of the month based on the corresponding prompts below. After you've compiled your list, make sure you tag it with "scavenger hunt 132". Be sure to go over to the comments on this list and check out the lists of other participants! If you have absolutely ANY questions, be sure to join the amazing Scavenger Hunt Discord! Lots of cool people over there, feel free to tag (@CodyTunesIn) me if you need further clarification on a prompt or have any questions!
And now....ladies and gentlemen...THE PROMPTS!
1. I became chronically ill a few years back and in a desperate attempt to find purpose again, I started uploading videos to TikTok where I react to performances from the major televised American singing competitions! Well, not only did I find purpose, but it is my main source of income now. I somehow amassed a following of over a million people, which I will never be able to wrap my head around. I LOVE it so much and am so lucky to have been given that platform to share new and upcoming artists with people casually scrolling their feed. Feel free to check me out @CodyTunesIn :) Let's dedicate this first prompt to all the wonderful creators on TikTok!
Go to TikTok and up in the search bar type in either #movietok or #filmtok and find a film recommended by one of the creators you see pop up!
2. Let's continue with TikTok here! Two of my favorite #movietok creators are CinemaJoe and Kit Lazer
Go to their Letterboxd profiles and watch a movie they rated 4 or 5 stars!
Tip: You can complete this by going to their profile, scrolling down to "films", then sort by "highest rating first"
3. Finishing out TikTok here, last year I was invited by Michael Buble himself to a taping of The Voice! He was a coach at the time and wanted to meet me. Let me just say, he is one of the nicest people I've ever met! I made a video about my experience and it is pinned on my TikTok profile. But enough about me! Michael's discography is filled with many amazing love songs.
In honor of Michael Buble, watch a romance movie!
4. For some reason, I am extremely nostalgic about a time and place I've never been to. Dark Fantasy just feels like home to me. I love the vibes so much, that I am CRAVING to get back into a dark fantasy world. For the best possible viewing experience, I'd highly recommend watching your selection for this next prompt late at night or in the middle of the night!
Watch a dark fantasy film!
5. I always love just going to Letterboxd and looking at random accounts to see what their top 4 is! Let's do this, but with the people who followed you!
Go through your followers list and pick one of their top four favorites to watch! If you don't have any followers, you can do this for those YOU follow!
6. As I am making this scavenger hunt list, it is actually my birthday! I'm in my 30s, but can't help reminisce on those younger years when I was a teenager. So for these next three prompts, we're going to discover what teenagers throughout the years were likely going to the movies and watching!
Watch a film released when one of your grandparents were 16 years old!
7. Watch a film released when one of your parents were 16 years old!
8. I think you know what's coming next!
Watch a film released when YOU were 16 years old!

10. A film book I love to reference is the Oxford History of World Cinema. There are so many cool facts about some of the greatest movies of all time found in that book, I'd highly recommend getting it if you're a lover of all things cinema!
Watch a film that is featured in the Oxford History of World Cinema
11. There are certain parts of the world that call our name. Whether it's a vacation spot you want to visit, or a place you'd eventually love to move to, we all have that one corner of the Earth we can't stop thinking about. For me, it's the Pacific Northwest. I don't know what it is about that place, but it has always been somewhere I've wanted to be.
Watch a film set in a place you've never been to, but calls your name
12. For some reason, I love learning about US Presidents! But did you know, that the White House has a movie theatre? The historic theatre was torn down last year however, and is being renovated and upgraded. Every modern President has even worked with the Motion Picture Association to get new releases into the White House Theatre! Lots of Presidents even kept track of what was watched!
Watch a movie screened in the White House Theatre or any President has gone on record saying they enjoyed.
Hint: Search these Presidents on Letterboxd and you'll find many lists of movies they enjoy or screened in the White House (Barack Obama has yearly lists of his favorite movies. Donald Trump has spoken about certain movies he's enjoyed to the media. George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter and Richard Nixon all have records of movies screened by them in the White House theatre.)
13. Sometimes the best movies are those that are hidden!
Watch a film with UNDER 50k members, but has a 3.7 average rating or above!
14. The Oscars are tomorrow! Let's try and get in one more film from 2025!
Watch any film from 2025! Bonus points if this film was nominated for an Oscar!
15. Are you ready to time travel?! I have the secret on how to do it and unfortunatley, we have to allow FATE to decide what time you're going to. Ready?
Set your time machine up by going to Google and asking it to pick a number between 1924-2024. Then ask it to pick a number between 1-12 (for the month). Watch a film from that month and year!
16. Happy St. Patrick's Day Eve everyone! I think you know what's coming here...
Watch a film about or set in Ireland. Alternatively, watch a movie that has anything to do with the Irish or St. Patrick's Day!
17. I always find it interesting to see Hollywood's elderly folks in their golden years still doing what they love!
Watch a film of an actor, actress or director that lived (or is still living) into their 90s and above and were/are still active. Note: You do NOT need to watch a movie of them in their later years, it can be any movie of theirs.
Some examples are Betty White, Clint Eastwood, Judi Dench, William Shatner, Dick Van Dyke, Christopher Lee.
18. There's just something about the big apple in the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
Watch a film set in New York City during the 80s, 90s or 2000s
19. Chungking Express and Memories of Murders make up half of my favorite four. I would've NEVER watched those movies without these scavenger hunts! I was always intimidated by watching foreign films with subtitles. I'm now discovering how much I love watching cinema from different cultures around the world!
Watch a foreign film from your watchlist. If you don't have one in your watchlist, put one in there and watch it!
20. Coming of age films are among my favorite because they have to do with discovering yourself. It asks questions about who are you deep down and what will you make of yourself?
