I spent much of 2025 (and finishing up in 2026) viewing (over 200 of them) and reviewing films (125 or so) from a century ago. It was a great year for cinema. Also for fun, I'll post below my attempt at an alternate Oscars for the year (a.k.a. my favorites organized in still more categories). And, less fun, I ponder in the notes what year to consider the titles. As always, all is subject to amenability and caprice.
