After asking Chris Leggatt for his blessing, I'm relaunching this challenge to push myself (and anyone brave enough to join) through cinema's most uncomfortable corners on an annual basis. This isn't about torture porn or cheap shock…it's about films that burrow under your skin and refuse to leave.
Being disturbed is deeply personal. What breaks one person might bore another. I've curated starting points for each category, but I encourage you to dig deeper. Stuck finding something? Comment and we’ll show you such sights.
