I've created this list mostly to encourage myself to escape the male-dominated industry while gaining appreciation for some great female artists.
This list is inspired by/a companion to the '52 films by women' challenge, but I wanted something with more guided criteria.
There are 52 categories; one first-time watch for every week of the year. Films can be watched in any order, and at any pace from January 1 to December 31, 2026.
