Hello Again, Why We Love Horror fans!
With things growing in support from our 2024 list and last year’s list, we are going to be doing it a third time. Follow the link at the top of this description to see our video going over the plan if that's more your information-gathering style [premiering on 11/27/25].
This is a 52-week challenge for diehard horror folks, and horror novices, too...why not?
Some ground rules...
1) We'd prefer you make this all first-time watches, if possible. If you've seen all of the movies in a particular prompt, just rewatch your favorite(s) and tell us all about it.

Some ground rules...
1) We'd prefer you make this all first-time watches, if possible. If you've seen all of the movies in a particular prompt, just rewatch your favorite(s) and tell us all about it.
2) We'd prefer you avoid shorts and limited series unless it is absolutely necessary to utilize them to complete a prompt.
3) Do the prompts in whatever order you want.
4) Do the prompts at whatever pace you want, but get it done by the stroke of midnight on 12/31/26, or else. (That's an empty threat, but we appreciate you completing the challenge, for sure.)
5) Please tag any movies you watch with the tag "wwlh2026" to be included in all the action!
6) Interact with us here, on the YouTube, and on the Facebook. We want to hear from you!
The structure...
We're doing this a little different than last year. We always use the Horrorville lists as the cornerstone of the challenge, and now there are 5, so we'll start with those 5 lists as the first 5 challenges.
After that, John, Aaron, and Abby will take turns giving a prompt that will encompass 5 films, so for each prompt choose your top 5 and watch them all to complete that portion of the list.
The leftover two weeks will be your generic homage to the Letterboxd community where you can watch the most popular movies as dictated by the community that you haven't seen yet.
Sincerely,
John, Aaron, and Abby
[UPDATE: I'll keep including links to filters or other lists within the prompts to help with the movie selection process. -John]
