Here we go again - another late August where the weather starts tempting me with cool nights and gentle breezes, and I start believing I will actually finish a Hooptober this year.

I'm trying to manifest some quality spooky times this year, so I'll do my best to stay positive.

Like the past few years, I have opted to not double-dip my categories, meaning my genres and decades have separate, unique films from the more refined categories.

Am I insane? Of course.

I will start on September 15, I will watch them all, and each film will get a review. I mean it this time.

According to Letterboxd, I have seen 45% of these films already, and I think that might be the golden ratio of maintaining my dopamine across 47 days. I tried to opt for first-time watches when possible, and if I picked a rewatch it was either a gold-star film or one I haven't seen in years.
