My entry for "Hooptober 12".
This marks my fifth time participating in Hooptober. As in previous years, I will be watching 31 horror films throughout the challenge, following in the footsteps of Cinemonster. True to my interpretation of the challenge, I’ve taken some creative liberty with the term “horror” when selecting certain films. Maybe even more so than previous years.

This marks my fifth time participating in Hooptober. As in previous years, I will be watching 31 horror films throughout the challenge, following in the footsteps of Cinemonster. For this year’s edition, I’ve decided to take a slightly different approach. The horror genre is one I’m still relatively unfamiliar with, and while I’ve used Hooptober as an opportunity to explore it more deeply, I find myself still lagging behind in my understanding of the genre’s most iconic and influential works. In light of this, I thought there would be no better way to expand my knowledge than by delving into the history and context of horror through documentaries. Therefore, my focus for this year is horror documentaries, allowing me to learn more about the genre, classics, studios, and more.
