Hooptober is a Halloween season horror film challenge organised by Cinemonster and hosted on Letterboxd which has been running since 2014. It is named after the filmmaker Tobe Hooper.
The premise is select, watch (and review) at least 31 horror films. The selection criteria for each event are published at the end of August in time to prepare lists and watch films from 15th September though to 31st October.
Users are encouraged to tag their activity using the #HoopTober12 tag.
