Hooptober XII
"Do you ever fantasize about being killed?"
"Reality is not what it used to be"

I'm incredibly excited for this, and have been waiting anxiously for months, and even more so when I felt the first hint of chill in the air this past week. It's like the weather brings it on for me every year. A darkness I find so comforting.

I'm incredibly excited for this, and have been waiting anxiously for months, and even more so when I felt the first hint of chill in the air this past week. It's like the weather brings it on for me every year. A darkness I find so comforting.
I usually don't pick a title for my list until I start watching and find a bit of a theme or a good quote sticks out at me. I also noted where I went over in the criteria in case I have to make some changes due to availability or if I find out a movie doesn't match in the way I thought it did. For instance, Incubus says 5/3 cults and conspiracy, because I currently have 5 movies on my list that match that criteria, and I only need three. This should make any changes I need to make easier, though the hope is always that I'm able to access all of my films.
Hooptober has been the source of so many great discoveries for me, from the revered Ken Russel to the desolate debauchery of Jes Franco. I love immersing myself in this world every year, and look forward to the let downs, the pleasant surprises, and the classics I might discover and add to my personal canon.
I think I've chosen a good mix of fun and gory as well as high and low-brow horror here, and I can't wait to start.
Happy Hooptober!
Changes due to availability: Removed The Devil Rides Out and replaced with Exorcist 3. Both satisfy based on a novel criteria.
My First Hooptober.
My Second Hooptober.
My Third Hooptober.
My Fourth Hooptober.
My Fifth Hooptober.
My Sixth Hooptober.
My Seventh Hooptober.
