I like the idea of this film that immures together a survival disaster drama story that has emotional depth to the characters and a horror/thriller with a serial killer cat and mouse game but I have just seen this concept done better. I was entertained by some of the tense moments of Theron’s character battling these nature challenges while surviving a maniac but something about it all just fell flat for me. I don’t think Taron’s character was developed enough he was both trying to be dark and add some humour but it just didn’t gel.

This certainly is an interesting idea and experience into this bizarre world building chaotic dimension that had me intrigued and wanting to see where it leads to find answers.
