Hooptober is finally here!
Last year, for my very first Hooptober, most of my movies were folk horror and queer (or queer-coded) horror. There were ghosts, monsters, and tons of sapphic vampires. To see my list from last year, check out Hooptober XI: Bat Summer.
This year my Hooptober picks focus on two themes. My main theme are witches as a metaphor for rebellious women resisting patriarchy, which I will be watching in order of time period. My other theme is that of performance and the hidden self.
