Here's the thing: I can't watch horror. I just can't.

Specifically, I can't watch supernatural horror (ghosts, witches etc. but I love zombies). Those scare the crap out of me and render me sleepless for weeks. In fact, the only supernatural horror film on my Letterboxd as of now is an obscure Indian film that I'd seen long ago. I have seen other such films, but never managed to finish any of them. So, in a way, taking on this Hooptober challenge is a sure-fire way of self-inducing a heart attack. But I'm going to do it anyway. I am no longer going to let my fears restrain me from enjoying what I know to be a great genre.

I am likely not going to finish this list. But if I manage to see even 10 films on it by the end of October, I'll consider that a good start.

The films are ordered by release year, and I intend to see them in that order (with the exception of Don't Breathe and The Shallows, both of which I'll catch in a theatre). I'll rearrange the films regularly to put films I have finished at the top, ordered by when I watched them.
