This is December in the ’80s: a month-long tribute to the boldest, weirdest, most radical films of the 1980s — from holiday horror to mall-set madness, from high-concept blockbusters to low-budget cult classics. Whether you’re revisiting childhood favorites or finally watching the deep cuts, Retro-Snow is here to turn your winter break into a time machine.
🎯 You’ve got not one, but two main modes for you to choose from to complete this challenge:
🎬 Rewind Mode
Watch 10–31 movies during December that celebrate the authentic 1980s.
🍿 Your lineup can include:
• Studio blockbusters
• Cult classics
• Forgotten VHS gems
• Foreign films
• Indie sleepers
• Holiday staples
• Animated or genre hybrids
(Plus a few later films set in or inspired by the ’80s — but your core focus is the decade itself.)
📼 Guidelines:
-At least 50% of your movies should be films released between 1980 and 1989.
-The remaining half can be modern films that channel the spirit of the ’80s through setting, style, soundtrack, or themes.
