This honestly felt like the story was written by AI and the dialogue was written by former porn industry workers.
The scenery is lush and the cinematography is nice - but every time someone opens their mouth it shatters the illusion.
Also features a wealth of some of the worst fight choreography you've seen. Sure there might be some brutal imagery but it's hard to take any of the alleged horror seriously in the build-up.
And that ENDING! Making people crawl on the floor to give the impression they're climbing a sheer cliff. I could not control my laughter.
a more boring version of the green inferno, which isn't even that good to begin with
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Who would think of camping in the middle of a forest where there are cannibals, I wouldn't even think of it.
The story is interesting and from the beginning they give us slasher scenes, although it looked very fake, the part of the head soup was impressive, there are also other bloody scenes that I liked, because they were more real I will not say which ones not to spoil, the end was meh, the man fought too much to have that ending.
This movie is a bit similar to Green inferno, I still liked it.♡
It might be foolhardy today to make a new jungle cannibal film in the vein of the irrefutable exploitation genre of the late 1970s and early 1980s that only lasted for a brief time. Marred by gross acts of real animal violence, sexual abuse, and racism, the cannibal subgenre film, mostly popular out of Italy, they're still the black sheep of the exploitation era, a dividing line that few dare to care enough to cross. “I had seen the cannibal movies many, many years ago. Cannibal Ferox and things like that but I didn’t rewatch them”, admits Howard J Ford in an interview. “I don’t want to accidentally copy it. I don’t want my path to be seared off from…

“The people you don’t wanna know, okay?”
A very lack lustered version of Green Inferno, but no where near as effective. Had potential though, half way there. Semi decent survival horror film.
Streamed off Amazon Prime

Cheers Up Cinema
First half was an insufferable soap opera with annoying characters, the second half was OK.
So overall no recommendation from me.
River of Blood is one of the dumbest movies I've seen in a very long time. Racist to the core, technically bad in every aspect and utterly predictable.
The four protagonists are so horribly annoying that I was rooting for their violent death which, sadly, didn't happen. It's thoroughly pathetic how the laughably bad script tries to contrast their first world problems with their battle for survival.
Eli Roth The Green Inferno is a masterpiece in comparison to this piece of cinematic crap. I watched this movie so you don't have to. Even if you're prone to checking out every new cannibal movie out there - do yourself a favor and skip River of Blood.
