I was quite excited to watch this film, but it turned out to be just average. The concept was good, but it’s clear that it could have been executed much better. It didn’t leave the lasting impression that the director seemed to intend.

A fairly unbiased take on the immense complexities of a system that begs for a solution. But the deeper one digs for it, the more labyrinthine it all becomes.

Unfolding from the perspective of a recently widowed Police Constable called Santosh, the film examines a case from rural India. While it maybe a work of fiction, it delves into issues which are perhaps close to reality or have been true at some point in time. A girl disappears and despite pleas for help, the calls fall on deaf ears. When it turns out that she has been murdered, investigation ensues.

But it is so much more than that. Enough to be banned indefinitely in the very country it was filmed…

The film personates the peak ground reality of Indian judiciary sometimes.(not saying it happens on daily basis) but what Santosh had to incur has to be daily approach of some ppl.(from getting job on behalf of husband's demise to ending up screwing wrong guy to leaving the job).

There couldn't have been more better character than sharma trying to making Santosh feel proud and keep gaining familiar towards her. I think the film would have slept me on if she wasn't in the film.
