the lesbian efficiency of going from fingering at the first hookup to attempted homicide by the last
ethan coens wife held a gun to his head and said “make aubrey plaza and margaret qualley fuck, i don’t care about the plot!”
the plot was all over the place, but what I definitely understood is that I’m gay for aubrey plaza.
much like kristen stewart is one of our best "in love" actresses, aubrey plaza is one of our best "so horny" actresses. from the second she's on screen she's selling "down bad" like she's got points on the back end. terrific. seems impossible to talk about this movie without comparing it to the coens' oeuvre as a duo (and they're my favorite directors so why why wouldn't i) but so many of their comedic trademarks exist here in a diet fashion and i loved it. the extended cast is so fun. a lot of things feel a little left in the air by the end but i was so in on the world i didn't really care. i had a great time! looking forward to the third in the series. may we all be so lucky to build a top-tier body of work and one day have a second act making 90s-inspired exploitation romps with our lesbian wives.
