Project Hail Mary

Andy Weir's brand is balance. Meaning that, for every good plot point introduced in Project Hail Mary there's a line of dialogue that feels straight out of a YA novel.

Unfortunately this adaptation speedruns the best parts of the novel while making sure to have time for all the quippy spectacle that should've been abandoned half an MCU ago.

Capable enough but with the potential to be much better given the source material.

They say younger generations are abandoning the theatrical experience but it seems they have no issue paying to watch half an anime season in one sitting. I'd argue that "Season" is a more fitting definition for this than "Movie" since, unlike the franchise's latest theatrical effort, Mugen Train, the action focuses on multiple POVs scattered across a (literally) endless structure.
