Okay, imagine you are documenting your own family through your camera in the form of vlogs or just dump on your spam account. You do realise the importance of it, you do realise how much you value it and that is the reason it is with you.
But believe me, you never know in what shape and form it can adapt to in your future.
Just like Anand, who documented his own family with the intention of just "capturing the moments" but later it becomes more than that when "life" was showing more of life which you will see in this documentary.…
This film made the whole of MAMI 2023 for me. Beautiful, moving, now we know where the gem that Anand Patwardhan is comes from
Watched this at NCPA today. I know this Movie is supposed to portray the entanglement of director’s life with Indian politics but my biggest takeaway here was the wholesome relationship between his parents. Everytime they showed up on the screen my chest would tighten as if I was receiving a warm hug.

É como um longo romance indiano contando uma saga familiar - daqueles com uma árvore genealógica no começo. something that was very briefly mentioned in the movie and then in the qna session after it was how achyut patwardhan became a bit of a Krishnamurthy head later in his life, which led him away from dwelling in the past and focusing on the here and now instead. obviously this is a very very simplistic way of putting his philosophy but it kinda made me think of this movie in relation to myself and my own personal history (and how that ties into national history etc)
