Searching meets Get Out. Online dating gone terribly wrong. The title of the movie spoils it, this would have been so much better if I didn't know what it was but it still goes in directions I didn't expect in the second half. It's half a tech thriller in the veins of Searching with interactions on web pages and half erotic horror when shit hits the fan. It was kinda scary at times just with the character never looking behind him in that dark house and Adra gives me the creeps sinse you rarely see her face and there's clearly something off about her.

Demonic and horny, Succubus tells the tale of a man who has recently separated from his wife and is watching their young child while his wife is at a bachelorette party. He decides to create an online dating account and things go south for him pretty quickly.
I’m definitely going to be biased toward rating this one higher because I really enjoy screen life horror. However, I think this went some neat places for its lower budget, and some of the story beats and effects were genuinely cool. The main character was well done - he’s sympathetic enough for you to feel bad for him, but digs his own holes enough that you don’t feel that bad in some places. Third act turns into a certified freak show in the best way.

Succubus is a weird mixture of trashy, sexy, sensual, surreal, icky, campy, and wired. I didn't expect much going in... mainly maybe a little trashy fun, but honestly not a lot of hope for a good film. But I was surprised by how much I was drawn into it.
It's about a guy separated from his wife, stuck home watching the baby. He gets some bad advice from his macho man friend about dating apps... and immediately gets matched with a hot, nubile young woman who wants him... all of him.
Part of the film is a Screen Life flick where we watch his laptop screen as he signs up for things, chats with his friend, and swipes right one…

Is this a modern version of Rosemary's Baby, a chat app that gives birth to a devil child? The horror and eroticism are half-baked.
A demon possessing someone over the internet? Well, it could be said to be innovative, but it's a bit questionable.
A baby is born, grows up, etc. They could probably make a sequel, but I don't think I'll watch it.

Surprisingly very enjoyable! It’s a mashup of screen life, crime/thriller, and fantasy and tbh it absolutely worked. Exceptionally horny, but also incredibly tense and unique! Definitely recommend this one if you like erotic thrillers with a little bit of fantasy/folklore.
