Simply extraordinary piece of confident mainstream filmmaking . So much better than all the big budget filmmaking in india . Such confidence , such impossible storytelling . I was wondering how does one even sell this idea to a producer . In Hindi they can only do remakes of such ideas. Hindi cinema really is so far left behind with three back to back brilliant Malayalam films ..

Peak Bromance… ‘Manithar unarnthu kolla.. Ithu manitha kaadhal alla…Athaiyum thaandi punithamanathu…’ 🎼❤️❤️🎼
Based upon real life incidents, it is quite an engrossing and heartwarming tale of survival and friendship. After a neat 40 odd minute setup, the drama turns grippingly intense with thrilling edge of seat moments. The final 30 minutes simply overwhelms with its wholesome overdrive, especially the magical placement of Kanmani anbodu song and its emotionally humane finale moves one into happy tears. Just pure goodebump moments. Technically, it’s top notch all around. The cinematography and rescue execution were fantastic. While all the performances were adequate, the camaraderie between the boys gang work out like a charm, with Soubin Shahir once again stealing the show in the end. Has its hiccups, but when all said and done, it leaves you highly satisfying. Do watch it !!
Ugh really felt bad and helpless while watching the first half which went missing in the 2nd half, as it was very monotonous .2nd half is more like 2018 x Malayankunju, I didn't feel anything watching those which was the same for this. Movie could've used better writing but is superior to the above mentioned movies.
Performances were good (soubin and bhasi), rest were good as they just had to exist in the background, art design and cinematography spectacular🔥, few scenes in the 2nd half will make you wonder how they made this .
Also idk if it was my theatre's sound system problem, most of the dialogues in the 2nd half was not clear and audible, it gets worse…
A PASSAGE TO INDIA II: ATTACK OF THE SPICE
I came into this movie really not knowing what it was about or anything. Completely blank. Someone recommended it and I went with it. So you can only imagine how taken aback and surprised I was when this film started with this joyful, high-spirited, lighthearted, delightful, all-upbeat singing with the cast just having fun. And then, in what seemed like a blink of an eye, there’s the same group trapped in a cave in a harrowing situation where they even start having these surreal visions with colored walls and a dude miraculously surviving that damn fall (how the hell he did, God knows).
Director Chidambaram does a splendid job balancing the…
absolutely insane. this is what cinema was made for. my family went in completely blind because all i heard was that the movie was phenomenal and we shouldn’t miss it in theatres- all of us were absolutely hooked. by the end of the movie the theatre was clapping and whistling for THAT scene and it felt like we all achieved something tonight. cinema cinema cinema!!
