Starting in 2018 with the release of Venom, the Sony Spiderman Universe is one of the main cinematic universes that tried to compete with the MCU in the 2010's and 2020's. With significantly negative reviews since its inception, the franchise has struggled to find a footing and recently it was announced that the franchise would see massive reworking.
