So slow I fell into a reverie through most of it. I perked up when I realized it was almost over. There was actual action on screen and it looked good for a climactic event. The action didn’t take long. After it was over, the movie went on some more, more or less headed to final credits... but not before taking time for a few more extended closeups of a character whose expression hadn’t changed since the first scene.
I couldn’t tell you what she felt about anything that happened, even that time her kid turned into a wolf-thing right before her eyes.
How can a werewolf movie be an insomnia cure? I don’t know, but this is. Doze away.
The production values are good and there’s a fine horror tale in here, but this story could have been told in half the time with twice the impact.
Recommended if you want an excruciatingly slow-paced werewolf movie
