In this year’s Podcast Macabre Horror Challenge, I follow in the footsteps of novelist, amateur sleuth, and schattenjäger Gabriel Knight as I try to learn all I can about voodoo. Will my investigation solve a series of grisly murders? Only time will tell! Whether it’s blatantly right there in the title (Voodoo Moon, Voodoo Dawn, Voodoo Island), a bit more subtle (Black Moon, Eve’s Bayou, Sugar Hill, Angel Heart), has zombies that may or may not be related to voodoo (Scooby Doo on Zombie Island, The Plague of the Zombies), or maybe just takes place in Louisiana (Interview with a Vampire), I’ll be spending a lot of time down on the bayou this year. So tell me: What do you know about voodoo?

There are more rewatches than usual this year, including the original Witchboard, the original Fog, Jacob’s Ladder, and Angel Heart, plus Demons and Triangle if I watch the bonus picks.

Adding to the bayou energy, I decided to finally watch the first season of True Detective. Fit the theme and boy is it good.
