Besides the movies I know to be queer most of them are from different books and articles on the topic. So some of these might be a headscratcher.
Also there is no clear definition of "queer", "german" or "cinema". Queer could be explicit representation, made by queer people, being important for queer culture, implicit representation. German is mostly german language, so also swiss and austrian productions. But also some international productions set in german-speaking countries or made by germans. Cinema for this list is everything that is on Letterboxd. Ofcourse TV, Home-Videos, Internet-Videos, Video-Installations are also part of Film-History, even if they arent (well) represented on this website.
