“I really did try”
This one line of dialogue shattered my expectations for this show.
Not only did it convey the internal struggles of a character but also how fucked and underfunded the public health system really is.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The moment when Shruti turns to the camera and says, 'I really did try', is one of the most heartbreaking scenes I've ever heard/seen. The worst part is, you know what will happen to her once she is off screen. The little hints as well towards her death are so powerful...her emptying her room, her fridge and her locker. I'm blown away.
An accurate and heartbreaking truth. The NHS is still underfunded, staff still suffer and the government do not care. It's awful. Yet, this shows how the government's disregard has effects that we may not consider. Extremely relevant given the current political chaos our country is enduring.
This is one of the best series I've ever watched.
They photoshopped Paddington inside a public hospital seeing, saying, and serving cunt.
