There are SO MANY lyrical and thematic connections between the Pink Floyd album and the Visuals/Characters/Storyline of "The Wizard of Oz". I looked up a list of these connections and they are posted HERE:

The Dark Side of the Rainbow - Connections.

Enjoy.

Btw...
Watched this on the Day before Halloween with the "Dark Side of the Moon" soundtrack by Pink Floyd.

Sooooooo... I did it again on Halloween Night for a Hooptober Treat for myself. Such a cool transformative…

"A song is dick in sheep's clothing."

I haven't laughed this hard in quite a long time.
I laughed full force, out-loud... numerous times throughout this production. It is flat out one of the most clever parodies I have ever seen.

And... at the same time... there is a heartfelt through-line that is truly warm and (not overly) sentimental that made me tear up. Damn, I guess they got me.

Very clever writing. VERY.
Great performances throughout. Everyone is talented…

Lucky McKee has a unique vision in his films which makes for some fun watches. You can always count on enjoying a McKee flick. Or at least being entertained or freaked out enough to get some solid interest out of them.

This hour-long horror flick is no exception.

Starring the always interesting Angela Bettis in the lead role, this film is creepy throughout. Bettis always makes great choices for her characters and in this one, her character is a real…

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1
★★½ Rewatched

Well, I liked it a lot more than I did when I saw it originally in 2014. The same problem still exists as it is only part 1 of a 2-part story. I really hate that in movies. And it's become more of a "thing" in the past 10-15 years.

*sigh*

However, I didn't think it was horrible this time around (I did when I first saw it). But it is certainly different from the first two movies in that…

"Tonight, these men were drawn to that altar like it was a fire in the middle of winter. Even those who aren't devout came to warm themselves."

Wow. This movie CRUSHED me.

Yeah, I guess it could be considered a bit melodramatic, but I didn't feel that AT ALL. I was truly AFFECTED by the message of this film. I was swept away by the sincerity of the presentation of man's human condition. The love of fellowship and community. The…

Well, this movie gets 100 stars out of 10 for best intentions.
It is, in fact, the best intended movie of the year... or of our lifetime.

I've heard some people talk as if this movie's subject matter was a political issue... which is astoundingly wrong... couldn't be further from the truth. It's a HUMANITARIAN issue. It affects millions upon millions of people. No joke: millions. So damn sad and beyond infuriating.

More people are enslaved now than ever before…
