The Howling
★★★★★ Liked Rewatched

Without question one of the most satisfying werewolf movies ever released. The Howling does stand the test of time really well and with it's deep end story and pretty awesome design, I will always have a place for this film in my collection. It's a great horror film, a great werewolf piece, and just a solid film.

It’s a genuine landmark film, in both its franchise and its genre and it's my favorite film in the franchise.

Mortal Kombat II
★★★★ Liked Watched

This is a film that knows exactly what its audience wants. By trading heavy handed exposition for world class fight choreography and unapologetic fan service, Mortal Kombat delivers a visually spectacular, high octane ride. It’s a massive win for action junkies and a fiercely loyal tribute to a gaming legend.

Lee Cronin's The Mummy
★★½ Watched

This is a frustrating mixed bag. It deserves immense credit for taking a massive creative swing, delivering some of the most genuinely horrific practical effects seen in a studio horror film in years.
However, by stripping the concept of all its adventure, mystery, and fun, Cronin forgot to replace it with a compelling narrative. It is too slow for casual moviegoers looking for a thrill, yet too conventional in its scares for hardcore horror purists. It’s a visually stunning, deeply atmospheric misfire that remains stuck in the mud of its own ambitions.

If you have any interest in story telling or filmmaking you need to do yourself a huge favor and seek this film out. This film is a visual beauty and overall it is completely compelling. I can’t recommend this film any higher!

If you research this film you will see that the story was influenced by true events when Dario Argento was receiving threatening letters and phone calls from an obsessed fan who continually criticized him for murdering beautiful women in his films. These events triggered him to write Tenebre.
