This is pretty much the only Pixar film that I know absolutely nothing about, I remember it coming out around the same time as the croods and both of them just never interested me.
But this beating Wreck it Ralph to win best animated feature means it must be good. Right?
No.
Maybe I’m just not in a great mood but I just didn’t like this whole thing.
The pacing was somehow the best bit purely because it just went this happened then this then this then that, but there was no substance to it at all.
I feel like Pixar films are always supposed to have some pure meaning to them like old fables.
So why on earth did nothing happen to Merida for turning her mother into a bear?
And talking about her mum, her human animation might be one of the ugliest in Pixar, the animation style in general was okay, not their best but wow did she look horrendous.
But maybe that’s because they knew she wouldn’t be a human for long.
