Plenty of horror remakes in ‘06. Most of them didn’t turn out so hot, particularly the one that took the Gus Van Sant route for remaking a movie. Never go the Gus Van Sant route. It wasn’t the remakes that made ‘06 great as much as it was the movies that harkened back to the olden days of horror. There, the year really shines through.
