My list for the 7th edition of the Hooptober challenge. Full list of rules can be found here.
In my first one two years ago, I was unable to watch all the movies. In my second one last year, I watched all of them but needed "overtime" into November to do so. As they say, third time is the charm and this year I am committed to watch all of these between September 15th-October 31st.

In my first one two years ago, I was unable to watch all the movies. In my second one last year, I watched all of them but needed "overtime" into November to do so. As they say, third time is the charm and this year I am committed to watch all of these between September 15th-October 31st.
I was particularly excited for this edition and especially since I saw so many other people excited as well. With the pandemic decimating new theatrical releases, film fans on the whole have struggled to find those "event" releases that bring us all together. However, I think the horror community has done a great job of finding ways to replace this, whether it's a hot new Shudder original debuting, the discussion around the surprisingly polarizing SHE DIES TOMORROW (the best film of the year imo), and now Hooptober. I'm looking forward to checking in with everyone else's progress and what they're watching just as much as logging and reviewing my own.
Some selections may be changed depending on availability or convenience but all rules will still be satisfied. Reviews linked in notes. I was able to complete the requirements with 25 films (see notes for which films meet which requirements), so 6 films are free spots (plus the two extra credit films). And yes, I will finally be watching BOOK OF SHADOWS: BLAIR WITCH 2.
