I’ve been avoiding spoilers of this film like nobody’s business, I’ve muted basically every single word on twitter that somehow relates to this film and it’s worked, I haven’t even seen what Nosferatu looks like in this, and honestly I can’t wait!
The practical effects, the costumes, the lighting, the hair and makeup, the outstanding cinematography, the over the top performances.
God damn this film impressed me greatly.
I have such a love for horror films that are like this and Eggers really does do it best; it’s deeply immersive mainly due to how massively detailed it is down to the most minute of things.
Icl I think it’s a disgrace that I haven’t seen The Lighthouse yet, I mean first of all I’ve also been able to avoid spoilers for that film but most importantly everything that I have actually heard about it I love.
