The one thing Sinister 2 does perfectly is that, it makes you feel that you're really watching a movie. It makes you feel every minute passing. It makes you realize that you're just staring at moving pictures on a screen. It makes you notice how comfortable you are sitting on your sofa. This movie makes you question how weird the concept of watching movies are, that it almost makes you wish no one invented them in the first place so you wouldn't be in this position.

The first Sinister is amazing. One of my favorite horror movies of all time.

The dread you feel while watching that movie...still makes me shiver.

People told me to avoid this sequel...

Said it wasn't nearly as good.

Look, they're entitled to that opinion...they can think that...

I'm here though to tell you that they are WRONG.

Yes, it is not as good as the first one. No doubt. Not many horror movies are though.

It's a VERY tall task to follow up the first Sinister.

Was this perfect? Absolutely not. But dang it, it is a fine sequel.

Now admittedly, I'm a big fan of James Ransone. Not was...am.

His memory will always live on and be alive with…

Ugh.... What a big disappointment. I don't even really want to talk about this, all you need to know is it's a stupid, lazy, and boring horror film with weak performances, a terrible script with laughable dialogue, and annoying, loud, infuriating, and pointless jump scares. Also possibly the worst climax I've ever seen in a horror movie.
