zunächst schwebte mir ein hinreichend lyrischer Titel in bester Giallo-Tradition vor, doch dann rang ich mich zu der Erkenntnis durch, dass für Poesie später noch Zeit sei. Alternativtitel: This October I’ll Possess Your Corpse, nun ja, wollen wir mal nicht übertreiben.

— Contrary to habits, I take two movies from the German Fantasy Filmfest on the list, for one thing, it is compliant by rules (starting in the second half of September), then we do have a ‚this year‘ category; while Cronenberg’s offspring promises sweet Body Horror (Possessor), the other new entry, Haunted House sort of, caused already some buzz (Relic).
— From the silent era to the present day, every decade is covered with at least one feature film. The most frequently represented decade (including 1 x extra work) will be — swaying my bum casually — the 70s! Because we are celebrating HoopTober for the seventh time: 7 films from the era of funk ’n stylish fun.
— The following countries are involved: Australia + Austria + Brazil + Canada + France + Germany + Italy + Japan + South Korea + Mexico + New Zealand + UK + USA… Perhaps I forgot something? Thirteen = definitely a charming number.
— Seven times Body Horror, kind of.
— More goofiness & freaking vegetables than usual, I suppose that's legitimate after months like written by Stephen King himself.
— According to this year’s number (twenty twenty, that's right) I smuggled in a few Doppelgänger, for instance two Return-Movies… Are you able to spot another pair regarding score, actor, director, title key word, series, categorising term for film, gentle reader? I count 666 -> 7.
