I told myself, "Never again." Now...here it is again. And I couldn't resist. In spite of my horrendous backlog in my various movie queues. I don't like to watch movies I don't want to watch and don't have much time for movies I've already seen. Life is short and I just sat through "Satantango." So I don't want to waste time. Accordingly there will be one glaring omission in the list below: no Tobe Hooper pic. Honestly, I just don't feel like it. Update: As Burns once said, "the best laid plans..." Hooptober is no different. Changes have been made and in the course the initial Hooptober requirements were fulfilled as of September 22, 2020, in 18 films. The rest of the list will all be "gravy."

Further update: I broke down and watched the official MTV music video for Billy Idol's "Dancing with Myself" directed by...Tobe Hooper. Doesn't appear on Letterboxd, but I've now done by Tobe Hooper homework for the year.
