If you guys know anything about me/my taste in films then you should know that this should be my favourite film ever.
It has quite literally every single component of films that I love, on top of that it also has actors I adore and takes place over the period of like 12 years and it’s by Linklater.
But I’ve just never seen it.
I’ve always been aware of this film, always wanted to watch it, always put it off for whatever reason.
Probably because I’ve got such high expectations for it and if it disappoints that’s gunna suck ass.
But I guess it’s finally time to watch this.
See y’all in 3 hours

What an absolutely groundbreaking beautiful film, this really did not disappoint

I feel like I’ve just spent years with these people in the shortest 3 hours of my life. Which is the most unique thing about this film which can’t really be gone without speaking about. Over a decade of filming for this film and man was it worth it maybe, the most authentic films ever put on screen.

The screenplay is fantastic, it’s not filled with traditional plot points but instead focuses on the more mundane yet highly profound moments in life which will feels like it would resonate with everybody who watches this in one way or another.
From Childhood to early adolescence it explores themes of identity issues, friendship and family dynamics which I just fucking love recently.

The cinematography is insanely well put together, perfectly capturing the passage of time with each setting, song played or pop culture references; which majority of time a lot of films really don’t do all that well and comes across feeling very forced. But this is the opposite of that.
The Pacing is excellent the hours absolutely flew by of course because of its nature it’s not snappy by any means but it’s very deliberate when it does really slow down.

This is just an absolutely remarkable exploration of time. Absolutely devastating that this does not have over 1 million watched on this app.
