I’ve seen this film a couple of times before, first time I watched it I didn’t like it all that much, second time around thought it was decent, but this was years ago so thoughts could’ve changed for sure

And it did, I thought it was great, i 100% understand the people that call it good ole’ fashioned American Propaganda but sometimes propaganda makes for good films. 
I mean the only reason why the FBI allowed Jonathan Demme access for Silence of the lambs is because they thought it would encourage more female FBI agents; and that movie slaps. 

Dunno if it deserved an Oscar but majority of the time if you’ve made a good war film you’re always gunna get an Oscar for sound, and got damn did this sound great.
