Yk I’m really starting to fall in love with Adam Driver, I never saw they hype before watching marriage story but he really is just amazing isn’t he
BRUHHH this is like my 4th or 5th watch of this film and only now am I realising that Eddie Brock is the racist guy.
PWH character is by far one of the funniest in this film, over time he slowly realises that he actually likes black people but doesn’t want to admit it, and also how he’s constantly trying to get everyone to think he can read even tho he blatantly can’t.
The scene where they’re talking about the lynching of Jesse Washington contrasted with the baptism of the new KKK members is just so utterly powerful and such masterful direction from Spike Lee.
He uses real archival footage which creates such a visceral impact whilst weaving in the KKK’s absurd and hypocritical ideology held by the KKK in a satirical lens.
It’s just such a powerful scene
I mean it’s such a powerful film as a whole and if you’ve not seen this for whatever reason I’d HIGHLY recommend it.
Also is this years Oscars just all based on real events?
