Been wanting to watch this one for what feels like forever but just never got around to it.
Tf is Timothy doing in this? Is he just in everything now?
Also somehow I’ve never actually seen Emma Watson outside of a Harry Potter film so this was a nice watch just so see that.
Honestly I was captivated from the very first scene
I think the best films don’t just overtake your emotions but also what you’re feeling physically, and despite the freezing temperatures right now this film just overwhelmed me with absolute warmth.
The only slight problem I have with this film is also probably the best part of it:
The casting.
Although I believe that every single role was perfectly cashed based on performance and that they’re all absolutely phenomenal in those roles I’m also aware that they’re all supposed to be young teenagers so seeing grown women act like children was a little of putting at times.
However I think the performances outweigh their juxtaposing actions;
Each of the sisters are portrayed with so much depth and complexity each of them very different with their own individual struggles and aspirations but all connected through sisterly love which is so overwhelming rife throughout this whole film.
They were all perfect.
Genuinely this is a masterpiece I could’ve watched double the run time, if you’ve done the same as me and put it off for so long. Give it a chance.
