Sharkenstein
★★

Watched 15 Oct 2024

My 3rd movie that I've watched by schlockmeister Mark Polonia who has directed 92 "NO-BUDGET"movies over the past 40 years.

After these first couple, you get kind of used to his style. It's REALLY bad effects... like the worst ever. Some REALLY bad acting... not the worst ever... but really bad. But some interesting concepts in the storytelling. Nothing that's gonna blow you away, of course... but... yeah... interesting.

As far as THIS film goes:

It's a piece of SharkenShit.
But I admit that I did enjoy the very sloppy ride.

The Sharkenstein Monster itself (unlike the poster that looks fucking awesome!)... looks like a sad, abandoned stuffed animal that was beat to within an inch of its life. Then had to sell its ass to make ends meet until it finally caught its big break in this film.

Yeah, the acting is really bad. But laughably so. Sorta endearingly bad.
Kinda.

But I'm here to tell ya... there is maybe only one movie out there that has WORSE CGI special effects than this movie ("Birdemic", never fear, you are still the pisspumpkin king of shit CGI). But a distant SECOND PLACE has got to be this movie's CGI effects. Holy shit. You just gotta see some of this stuff. Jaw-droppingly bad.

If you watch it because of this review... you're welcome in advance.
