One of the things I love best about Hooptober (and other challenges) are the surprises I find along the way. Killer Crocodile was not in the plan, but after watching the pretty terrible Crocodile from Tobe Hooper, I read @Joe Grabinski's review and he called out this Italian Jaws retread. And, I kinda love it!

The creature feels almost like it belongs in Jurassic Park, as does the premise. Environmentalists take on toxic waste dumping, complete with patented terrible Italian ADR (they are speaking English, why is the dubbing so bad?!?!) The filmmakers even released it under American names. Classic.

The Jaws ripoff works far better in this movie than so many others, there are some great shots and the Dominican location adds an "In the Mouth of Madness" kind of touch. Wait till you get to the last fifteen minutes! Fantastic find and will definitely be in my reptile rotation.
