Look, I get the detractors of this movie calling this too on the nose and beating the same point over and over again, but when it it looks so fucking good and is filmed so fucking well, I honestly don't mind it one bit. The first third is a near perfect film and the climax is a hoot and a half, just wish the middle part would've been cut down considerably. Whatever point the movie was alluding to regarding female beauty, self preservation and the societal norms impacting women especially in film industry had already been made quite effectively in the first third, which meant the middle part just felt like it was going nowhere but the climactic blood bath more than makes up for it. The body horror is excellent and is sprinkled with so much gory fun! Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley absolutely knock it out of the park, two of my fav performances of the year easily.
